Our existence presupposes an eternal supply that in the current rhythms’ cannot be sustained for long by our environment and provided resources. If one takes into account the geometric expansion of world population it is inevitable not to reach the resolution that Earth could react violently upon our gluttony and disrespect. Many a peoples eyes have been opened towards this lately and this makes me optimistic in that the next generations brought to life , will fulfill the rainbow warrior legend. Sooner or later we will realize that we have to evolve ourselves according to our surroundings and not to change our surroundings to match ourselves. It is undeniable that a human can only employ the resources of his environment to achieve his existence. However the key to sustainability of both living organisms , the earth and the human , is the control of the rhythm of exploitation of the provided resources. One needs to keep in mind that Indian saying which states that we do not inherit the Earth from our parents but we borrow Her from our children.
If one has to apologize to the Great Spirit of his game , the deer after having tracked it for hours and then hunted it for more hours, then he will know well enough not to kill in abundance , not to be obese and to be grateful to nature and the Great Spirit. If the death of a creature presupposes your existence, well enough this is your nature , but do not sit on a chair waiting for a slice of a cow to come in front of you. Raise that cow from maverick, go kill that cow yourself drain the blood , skin it bone it and choose the good meat and only then will you realize how much meat you have eaten in your life you ingeniously lazy carnivore. The human is the carnivore of this planet that strives the least to eat meat. The shark is an ultimate predator. The shark has not evolved a bit since the dinosaur age and enjoys his bloody meal only after he has outsmarted it and out forced it. The human just asks for it and its is brought to him. The human does not deserve to enjoy the privileges of the carnivore elite.
